A Level-1 Dungeons & Dragons (D&D) campaign is a series of adventures that take place in a fantasy setting and is told through interactive storytelling:
Players: Create characters and join a party to explore, battle, solve problems, and gather treasure. Players gain experience points (XP) and level up, becoming more powerful.
Dungeon Master (DM): The DM acts as the referee and storyteller, maintaining the setting and playing as non-player characters (NPCs).
Campaign setting: The world where the adventures take place.
Imagination: The adventure is limited only by the players' imaginations
Lost Mine of Phandelver is a Dungeons & Dragons adventure that takes adventurers from escorting cargo to battling goblins and a mastermind. The adventure is set in the Sword Coast region of the Forgotten Realms, near the city of Neverwinter. The DM will be following the new 2024 rules for D&D.
Lost Mine of Phandelver is an adventure with a good balance of combat, exploration, and social interaction. It's one of the most played adventures ever and a common touchstone for many players. Its best hooks are for characters motivated by personal prospects, uncovering lore, or helping the citizens of Phandalin. It runs levels 1-5. Its main story will likely take eight sessions.
