This Escalation League is designed for players of all skill levels to grow a new army, develop a better grasp of the rules, and overall enjoy a fun event for Warhammer Age of Sigmar. 

The Escalation League will take place over 10 weeks, running from Sunday, October 1st, 2023 and ending with a final December 16th, 2023. Players will be paired in one round every two weeks, with the finals being a 3 round event.

The “escalation” aspect of the event refers to the fact that the league will play games at different levels of competitive play.

• October 1st - October 14th at 750 pts
• October 15th - November 4th 1000 pts
• November 5th - November 18th 1250 points
• November 19th - December 2nd  1500 pts
• December 3rd - December 16th 1750 pts
• December 30th Finals 2000 Points

Matches in each round will add to your overall score. Match scoring is based on earned victory points and win/loss record.

Missions will be played from the most recent General's Handbook.

OTHER INFORMATION

Players will then have the entire week to contact their opponents and play their game within the store sometime during operating hours; however Sundays will be given priority for the Age of Sigmar Escalation League. If you do not plan on playing on Sunday please contact Maria@RecessGames on Discord to make sure a table can be reserved - be prepared to be flexible.

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Are players locked to one army for the duration of the league?

Yes, one faction to keep things consistent. However, the units don't all have to be the same game to game.

Will there be battle-ready painting requirements?

Nope.  There is no paint requirement nor reward points for painted army in Age of Sigmar.

What if we do not play our match within the designated time allotted?

You will forfeit and take a loss.

Do we have to play at Recess Games?

Escalation League has a two-week window to get in a match.

If there are two parties who want to play at a private residence that is fine. This is because they are already friends or related.

If you join any Recess Games Escalation League the default location is Recess Games.

Very soon we will have 24/7 gaming space which will allow matches to be played outside retail hours. No ETA. Things are in motion!
