Do you have great games collecting dust on your shelves? Do you have an old army that you no longer play? Are you looking for great deals on used games, models, and other cool things?
Then our Recess Board Game Bazaar on Sunday, November 3rd, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. is for you!
What is a Recess Board Game Bazaar?
It is the perfect opportunity for you to bring in gently used board games, miniatures, RPGs, or other gaming items you no longer want and find them a new home! It is also a great chance to see new goodies for your collection or make some room on your gaming shelf!
How does it work?
On the morning of the bazaar, vendors will set up their table space starting at 9:00 a.m., and Customers can begin shopping at 10:00 a.m. Once vendors and customers agree on the price, the buyer completes the purchases at the agreed amount in the cash register. Keep that receipt, as you'll show it to the Vendor and Staff as proof of purchase.
Whether it's your first Bazaar or you're fifth, we want to share a few guidelines to help everyone (buyers and sellers) have a great time:
If you're a Vendor:
- Tables are limited, so reserve your space early. Check back here on Sunday, October 6th, at 11:00 a.m.
- Your reservation gets you one table to sell your "out of favor" games. You will negotiate your price, and all customers will purchase at the Recess Counter, where we will apply all proceeds to your store credit account.
- The doors will be open on November 3rd at 9:00 a.m. for table set-up.
- You can post pictures of your games to our Discord Server to let folks know you'll be at the Bazaar.
- Please mark prices clearly.
- We also recommend being willing to negotiate, as a few dollars could be the difference between selling the item or finding space for it on your shelf again.
- You're encouraged to engage with buyers at your table! Feel free to chat with folks and answer questions about your items. Sellers who stand, smile, and engage tend to sell more than folks who sit and catch up on reading.
If you're a Customer:
- Arrive at Recess Games Board Game Bazaar on November 3rd as early as 10:00 a.m.
- Find an item (or items) you like and negotiate the price with the Vendor.
- Complete the purchase at the Recess Games cash register.
- Show the Vendor your receipt to the Vendor and receive your goodies.
- Hold on to that receipt as you'll want to show proof of purchase exiting.
- Customers can use all normal forms of payment, including Recess Games Rewards.
For Everyone:
- All purchases must be completed at the Recess Games register. Buyers and Sellers negotiate their prices, and then the Customers purchase for that amount at the register and present the receipt to the Vendor as payment.
- Recess Games Loyalty Rewards points are earned when the gift card is used, not when it is purchased. So, please remember that for all Bazaar transactions, the Vendor will ultimately receive rewards points when they use their gift card.
- Have fun! It’s great to see the variety of tabletop games and accessories that make this hobby so inviting.
