Players must have a DISCORD account. 

This Escalation League is designed for players of all skill levels to grow a new army, better grasp the rules, and enjoy a fun event for Warhammer 40K. 

The Escalation League will occur over 10 weeks. Players will be paired in one round per week, with the finals reserved for the Top 16.

The "escalation" aspect of the event refers to the fact that the league will play games at different levels of competitive play. 

• November 2nd - November 8th 750 points
• November 9th - November 15th 750 points
• November 16th - November 22nd 1000 points
• November 23rd - 29th - NO TOURNAMENT PLAY 
• November 16th - December 6th 1000 points
• December 7th - December 13th 1200 points
• December 14th - December 20th 1200 points
• December 21st - January 2nd - HOLIDAY & MAKE-UP WEEK 
• January 4th - January 10th 1500 points
• January 11th - January 17th 1500 points
• January 18th - January 24th 1750 points
• January 25th - January 31st 1750 points
• February 7th - FINAL 2000 Points (Top 16)

OTHER INFORMATION

Players will then have the entire week to contact their opponents and play their game within the store during operating hours, unless they have access to the play space after hours.

• The Recess Games' Discord server will post and coordinate event pairings.
• Purses and prizes will be determined by the number of players.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS & OVERVIEW

• Are legacy miniatures allowed? Yes
• Are conversions allowed? As long as the miniatures are close to the size of the actual models and are not built to advantage. It is acceptable since it is GW pieces.
• Is there a paint requirement?  No.
• What will be the Army Composition? The armies build up each week. Units can increase in size to accommodate more models, but cannot decrease in size. Enhancements can be swapped out on a weekly basis.
• Where to post lists? Coming soon
• Can you swap Enhancements with each new week? For example, if I use Enhancement A this week, can I switch to Enhancement B next week? Yes
• Can I also keep Enhancement A but “equip” it to a different Leader? Yes

Each pairing will occur over the course of one week.

Rules will follow the most current errata and points from Games Workshop.

Armies will not need to include models from previous weeks. Detachments can also change pairing from one to another. The faction played must be submitted to the event organizer, and the chosen faction must be used for the rest of the event.
