This Escalation League is designed for players of all skill levels to grow a new army, better grasp the rules, and enjoy a fun event for Warhammer 40K. 

The Escalation League will occur over five weeks, from each Sunday. Players will be paired in one round a week each week.

The "escalation" aspect of the event refers to the fact that the league will play games at different levels of competitive play. 

• JUNE 15th - JUNE 28th 1000 points
• JUNE 29th - JULY 12th 1250 points
• JULY 13th - JULY 26th 1500 points
• JULY 27th - AUGUST 9th 1750 points
• AUGUST 10th - AUGUST 23rd 2000 points

OTHER INFORMATION

Players will then have the entire week to contact their opponents and play their game within the store sometime during operating hours; however, Sundays will be given priority for the Warhammer 40,000 Escalation League. If you do not plan on playing on Sunday, please contact Recess Games Staff on Discord to make sure a table can be reserved - be prepared to be flexible.  

• The Recess Games' Discord server will post and coordinate event pairings.
• All results will be posted on the Recess Games' Discord server.
• Each player will receive back $5.00 per week in store credit.
• Purse and prizes will be subject to the number of players.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS & OVERVIEW

• Are legacy miniatures allowed? Yes
• Are conversions allowed? As long as the miniatures are close to the size of the actual models and are not built to advantage. It is acceptable since it is GW pieces.
• Is there a paint requirement?  Models do not need to be painted. however, we will be pulling the missions for each week from the leviathan mission pack that gives the 10vp for models being battle ready.
• What will be the Army Composition? The armies build up each week. Enhancements can be swapped out each week. Each week must include the same faction.
• Where to post lists? In the pairing channel that will be made each week.
• How are the leviathan cards for things like secondary tactics going to be handled? For the missions we are doing the leviathan mission pack, I’ll post a link for reference as well, and those you still select the secondaries and the gambits like normal.
• Can you swap Enhancements with each new week? Like if I use Enhancement A this week can I swap for Enhancement B next week? Yes
• Can units to be swapped out each week?  Yes.
• Can I also keep Enhancement A but “equip” it to a different Leader? Yes
• Can I have my 10 man Crusader Squad have Bolt Pistols and Astartes Chainswords one week and then the next week go back to having a Bolt Rifle and Close Combat Weapon and vice versa? Yes

Each pairing will happen over two weeks.

Rules will follow the most up-to-date errata and points from the Games Workshop.

Armies will not need to have models from previous weeks included. Detachments are able to change pairing to pairing as well. The faction played must be submitted to the event organizer, and the chosen faction must be used for the rest of the event.
