This Escalation League is designed for players of all skill levels to grow a new army, better grasp the rules, and enjoy a fun event for Warhammer 40k. 

The Escalation League will occur over five weeks, from Sunday, August 13th, 2023, to September 23rd, 2023. Players will be paired in one round a week each week, with the finals being a 3 round event.

The "escalation" aspect of the event refers to the fact that the league will play games at different levels of competitive play. 

• August 13th - 19th - 750 points
• August 20th - September 2nd - 1000 points
• September 3rd - 10th - 1250 points
• September 11th - 23rd - 1500 points
• September 24th - October 7th - 1750 points
• October 8th - October 21st - 2000 points

OTHER INFORMATION

Players will then have the entire week to contact their opponents and play their game within the store sometime during operating hours; however, Sundays will be given priority for the Warhammer 40,000 Escalation League. If you do not plan on playing on Sunday, please get in touch with Maria@RecessGames on Discord to make sure a table can be reserved - be prepared to be flexible.  

• The Recess Games' Discord server will post and coordinate event pairings.
• All results will be posted on the Recess Games' Discord server.
• Each player will receive $5.00 per week in store credit.
• Purse and prizes will be subject to the number of players.

Frequently Asked Question

Are legacy miniatures allowed? - Yes

Are conversions allowed? - As long as the miniatures are close to the size of the actual models and are not built to advantage. It is acceptable since it is a GW piece.

Is there a paint requirement? - Models do not need to be painted. however, we will be pulling the missions for each week from the Leviathan mission pack that gives the 10vp for models being battle-ready.

Army Composition - The armies build up each week. Every unit brought from the previous week must be included in the following week. Units can go up in size to include more models but cannot go down in size. Enhancements can be swapped out each week.BCP
